Ant Law Quartet The Yardbird Jazz Club Thurs 14th March 9pm

After studying on scholarship at Edinburgh University and Berklee College Of Music, guitarist Ant moved to London a few years ago and has been a busy sideman and session player, composing. After extensive rehearsing and gigging with the multitude of musicians resident there, a core repertory emerged, as well as a core line-up. This is the band you'll hear tonight, launching Ant‘s debut album “Entanglement”. Studies with his heroes Ben Monder, Lage Lund, Adam Rogers, Gilad Hekselman, Tim Miller and Ari Hoenig are audible in the music. Expect original modern jazz and some standard arrangements with flavours from NYC’s downtown scene.
